Western Etosha

Etosha National Park is Namibia’s premier wildlife destination and is one of Africa’s largest game parks equaling half the size of Switzerland. Large herds of plains game concentrate around the waterholes in the dry season, whilst the summer month’s sporadic rainfall produces a profusion of life.

The western Part of Etosha provides competitively priced accommodation and camping, ideally located in the untouched natural environment of northern Namibia near the Etosha National Park. Just as in Eastern Etosha you will find a host of remote private lodges combining unique African charm with international standards of luxury. Most lodges are conveniently situated and easy to reach via the Andersson Gate (near Okaukuejo).

Day and night game drives, visiting hides that overlook waterholes and walks with experienced guides can all be enjoyed exclusively on this reserve. The prolific wildlife makes game drives and day trips into the easily accessible Etosha National Park rewarding.

Species you may expect to see: black rhino, white rhino, giraffe, eland, mountain zebra, plains zebra, kudu, oryx, cheetah, leopard, springbok, blue wildebeest, warthog, duiker, black faced impala, sable antelope, waterbuck, hartebeest, hyena and lion.
